Stillness

We all want to be happy rather than unhappy. And most of the time, we believe that we can achieve it by getting something. For example, "If I make a lot of money, I can buy this and that and be happy," "If I become famous or successful in something, I will be happy," "If I date with that person, I will be happy," and so on.

For example, when you start dating someone you are interested in, you may feel happy at first, but as time goes by, the feelings may gradually fade away, and in some cases, you may end up fighting a lot, becoming bitter, and breaking up. Before the relationship begins, the desire to possess the other person is born, which turns into joy and happiness when the relationship begins, and pain when the relationship ends.

The important thing to remember here is that no matter what external things you do, it is the desire for possession and self-expression within you that will be satisfied, and the joy and happiness you get from it will not last long, and you will want more, which will eventually turn into suffering, and as long as you are trapped in that, the cycle of happiness and suffering will repeat itself endlessly. Happiness and suffering are inextricably linked. However, human beings would rather be happy than suffer, so where does the answer lie? The answer lies in the "Stillness" between the two extremes of happiness and suffering. In stillness, there is calmness, peace, tranquility, and peace. Here is a simple way to understand stillness.
