Shahnameh in Iran's National Epic

Shahnameh, Iran's largest national epic, compiled in 1010, features King Zahhak with two snakes on his shoulders.

The hero Fereydun, along with his mother when he was a baby, went to Mount Elbrus to escape the massacre of the tyrant Zahhak, and his mother left Fereydun to the cowherd. This is also similar to other myths.
