■ Around 10,000 BC Jomon pottery

The Jomon period lasts from about 14000 BC to about 800 BC. The following image is an early Jomon pottery from 10,000 BC to 5000 BC. Zigzag patterns can be seen in the lower half of the pottery on the left side and the upper and lower parts of the pottery on the right side.
