Kojiki

The Kojiki is said to have been compiled by Ono Yasumaro at the order of Emperor Tenmu in his 40s in 712, and contains stories up to Empress Suiko in his 33s. It is said that Ono Yasumaro also participated in the compilation of the Nihon Shoki.

In the first volume of Kojiki, the following is written about the creation myth. "When the heavens and the earth first appeared, the name of the god who became Takamagahara was the god of Ame no Minakanushi, and then Takamimusubi. God, then God. of Kamimusubi. "

Takaamahara is the place where the gods are born at the beginning of the heavens and the earth. In other words, there is Emptiness like Takaamahara, which has existed since the appearance of the heavens and the earth, and the god was born.

In Kojiki, there is a description of the birth of Izanagi and Izanami, standing on the bridge in the sky and stirring the chaos with a halberd to create an island. Awaji Island was born first, Shikoku was born next, Oki was born third, And Kyushu, Iki, Tsushima, and Sado were born. Finally born Honshu. These eight islands are called Oyashimaguni, another name for Japan.
